Aside from Minnesota's fine arts galleries and museums, a great way to view and purchase artwork by local artists is by attending an arts festival or partaking in a studio tour. Northfield, for example, holds a 10-day arts festival called ArtSwirl every year in August. The extravaganza consists of exhibits, film screenings, studio tours, and performances.
